Firstly kudos to Nadirshah for coming up with this novel idea and to Dileep who bankrolled for executing the same. 'KRR' is a product which is your quintessential time pass entertainer which makes you laugh a lot along with a few though provoking instances.
The story revolves around Krishnan Nair a.k.a Kichu (Vishnu Unnikrishnan), named after actor Jayan, of whom his father Surendran (Sidheeque) was a big fan. Surendran tried to become an actor during his younger days but failed miserably. While the villagers made fun of him he takes an oath that he will make his son a famous actor. The rest of the story revolves around the growing up of Kichu, the reactions he had to face from his friends and public due to his colour, his antics with his best friend Dasappan (Dharmajan), his love life and so on...
Vishnu as Kichu gives a stellar performance. His dialogue delivery is very natural and he has that innocent charm on his face throughout. Dharmajan was the real star in the movie. His slapstick comedies works big time more often than not. And it was a relief indeed to see Salim Kumar back to what he does best. Both heroines were good with Prayaga a real eye candy
All the support cast gave good performances, the songs and music felt above average.
Overall its a well executed time pass entertainer and is surely another feather in the director's cap of Nadirshah.
Verdict : Good
My Rating : 3.25/5
