I will narrate a recent example. I believe you recall the Odiyan experience. After seeing extremely negative opinion, I went to watch that movie and honestly I didnt like it. I conveyed my opinion to a friend and he went to watch this movie on that Sunday. After the experience, he told he liked the movie. I was surprised bcoz here is a guy who told Villain is bad becoz its slow, Thondimuthalum Driksaakshiyum is bad becoz it boring and slow. I never expected him to like Odiyan but he did.

The same guy went to watch 12:01 show (not fans show) and called Marakkar --> Atrocious!!! After watching the movie, I am 100% sure that this movie is better than Odiyan by miles. Compare any sector, Marakkar will beat Odiyan like anything. But he told its bad. And the reasons he told are;

1) Movie is boring and not engaging.

2) There is "mass" scenes which energizes the viewing experience. Eventhough he didn't mention "Mass" literally, its clearly understood.

3) Everything is stereotyped and predictable.

And multiple times, he told he felt sleepy. Now he is someone who rarely breaks his sleep cycle and went to watch this movie due to sheer interest and hyped up. His expectations were clearly a mass masala like Baahubali.

I hope you can understand what I meant. As I said, this movie is not meant for something that can be enjoyed like a fans show especially late night experiences.
