Synopsis
The film is based on the 7/11 serial train bomb blasts that rocked the biggest metro on the 11th of July 2006, in railway stations and moving trains of Mumbai.The movie is a take on the lives of Malayalee families affected by the bomb blasts.

Mammootty is once again coming together with Jayaraj after critically acclaimed movie ‘Loud Speaker’.

Mammootty in Jayaraj film

Mammootty is playing an officer in the Anti-Terrorist Wing of Mahrashtra Police in Jayaraj's new film titled The Train. The film started rolling in Mumbai from last week. It focuses on the lives of Malayalees affected by the Mumbai chain bomb blasts in July 2006, in railway stations and moving trains. Mammootty joined the sets of The Train last Friday after completing his Doubles in Pondicherry. The actor took great risk and shot in the busy streets of Mumbai and places like Victoria Terminal and Nariman Point.
Earlier the project was titled Track with Rahman, which has now been changed to The Train. The star cast includes Jayasurya, Jagathi,Balaji, Anjali Sabarwal and Sabitha Jayaraj.

Senior director Jayaraj has started shooting for his new movie with Mammootty at Mumbai. Earlier titled as 'Track with Rehman', the project has undergone considerable change to be called now as 'The Train'. The Megastar will now appear as the commander of the Anti terrorist Wing. The movie is a take on the lives of a malayalee families affected by the chain bomb blasts that rocked the biggest metro on the 11th of July 2006, in railway stations and moving trains of Mumbai. The crew is currently shooting around the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Nariman Point, Navi Mumbai and Railway station at Mumbai. Bollywood star Angela Sabarwal and Jayasuriya are also in the lead roles of this movie which will have Jagathy Sreekumar, Sheena, Abhimanyu, Sabitha Jayaraj, Anupam Kher, Balaji and Padmakumar in other important roles. Jayaraj will also introduce a new cameraman Seenu Murukkumpuzha through this movie.
