With the State Film Awards 2011 just around the corner, City Express conducted a sample survey among the audience from all walks of life to find out the best film, actor and actress of the year.Beautiful’, directed by V K Prakash came out as the best film with 53 per cent of votes. The movie which was released in the 2011 end was a sleeper hit. “The theme of the film and its brilliant visual composition were very refreshing,” says Alphonsa George, who works in Bajaj Alliance.‘Chaappa Kurish’, the directorial debut of Sameer Thahir received 31 per cent vote. “I found film’s narrative technique interesting, and the performances were good too,” says Aparna Rose, a literature student.‘Indian Rupee’ and ‘Pranayam’ also found place in the third and fourth positions. Jayasurya bagged the first position in the survey as the best actor with 42 per cent votes. “His performance as a paraplegic man in ‘Beautiful’ was the best in his career. ‘Janapriyan’ too was good,” says Anoop, an IT personnel.Many found Mohanlal’s role as a paralysed husband in ‘Pranayam’ one of his best performances and he garnered 39 per cent votes. Prithviraj received 19 per cent vote for his roles in ‘Indian Rupee’ and ‘Urumi’.According to general opinion, there was no exceptional performance from the side of actresses last year. However Swetha Menon, with her bold performance in ‘Rathinirvedam’ and ‘Salt N Pepper’ came first with 44 per cent vote. Kavya Madhavan came second for her acting finesse in ‘Vellaripravinte Changathi’. Samvrutha Sunil came third for films like ‘Swapna Sanchari’ and ‘Manikyakallu’.

Prithviraj and Jayasurya are going to play the main leads.Kalabhavan Mani plays another key character.Sorry but the first look will have to wait for some technical reasons!P Sukumar is going to do the cinematography.

jayasuriya should not accept this. now he is moving in right path with class movies and comic ones. though kunjaliyan was there and was a disaster. but now he should concentrate on individual movies which will boos his career. he should not do second actors role.......
