CASSANOVA ... MY RevieW !!!
 Finally saw Casanova ... and it was .... hmmm 1st half ... The movie starts off with 4 stylish robbers ... the initial scenes after terrific ... The guys using PARKOUR for their theft ... and i love watching PARKOUR ... so i was quiet impressed with the way it was shot ... and right from the start the message was clear ... this was no small movie ... the BUDGET , etc .... this was set to be a MAGNUM OPUS .. They compromised nowhere ... right from the starcast to the scale at which each frame was shot ... So the theft was done in STYLE  and should say it was better than even DHOOM .. Riaz khan was okay as the interpol officer .. In comes the STAR ... the universal STAR ... MOHANLAL .. CASSANOVA ... a name which i thought was too young for this mohanlal ... ofcourse in this industry the best guy to pull this role would have been mohanlal of 80s .. during his boeing boeing days.. as usual fans were cheering ... after this ...should say the whole 1st half was engaging , interesting , gripping and exciting ... the freshness was there ... everything was going great .. and i was wondering why the negativity since it was something different than the normal formula flicks ... The entire "FALL in LOVE" program was fantastic ... the only negative was his songs ... the song had a not so good response from the audience ... but both the love stories ... laxmi rai's track and ROMA's track .. even the guys were good .. i mean these ppl are not jst talented in parkour they did a fair job in acting as well .. the interval scene was terrific ... lal was taking it well ... there was no direct demi god portrayal by lal ... which i always appreciated whenever it came ... thus i totally enjoyed the first half .. 4/5 2nd half .. it was again getting interesting .... and now the big blow ... it was like a nose dive ... shreya's plot ... it was going okay to avg to okay and again avg ... a bit dragging and thus after the flashback .. again the same old ... "mohanlal is GOD " concept begins and this continues till the climax i dint have sky high expectations from the movie ... but after 1st half i did have that ... it was like a romantic entertainer ... a very interesting plot ... and then it goes for formula ... it looked like the writers thought they would play it safe .. and it was a bad idea from them ... 1.5/5 Cinematography was top notch .. . The movie was well shot ... Technically it is the best movie to release in malayalam till date ... This movie should have gone to some young actor .. but we dont have a great bunch of young talents ... so i dont blame the director either ... as an actor ofcourse mohanlal is natural great .... but for a role like this he should have taken care of his physique a bit as well ... Rest of the cast .... the Guys were good .. laxmi rai was okay ... roma did a fair job ... Jagadhy was avg ... we have seen him doing the same job in most of lal movies ... ie basically to praise him ... best scenes : ... Roma track .. ... laxmi rai track .. ... interval ... Overall ... 3.25/5 ... Watchable ... coz of first half ... 2nd half tests ur patience ...
