Kanden Kadhalai completes its second schedule

The second schedule of Kanden Kadhalai, starring Bharath and Tamannaah in the lead, was completed last week in Theni. With this, almost 75 per cent of the outdoor shoot is over. Only a few scenes to be shot at Chennai, in addition to three songs, are pending.The crew shot the second schedule at Theni, Palani, Kodaikanal and surrounding locations and all the critical family scenes, including the climax, were shot during this schedule.
The final schedule of shooting begins on 8 July at Chennai and will be completed before July end and then the post-production work will start. The audio release is planned during the first week of August.

Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan gets ready

Selvaraghavan's fantasy adventure Aayirathil Oruvan is getting ready. As Selva says: " It was a pain making the film, and if I'm given another opportunity I will never make a film in the same genre. It took over two years to complete." Selva shot the film for 252 days, as more than 2000 junior artists were required in some of the scenes in the film which was shot in five different locations spread over India.
The film will cost Rs 32 crore approximately by the day of release for its patient and determined producer R.Ravendran.
The film has Reema Sen, Andrea, Karthi and Parthipan in the lead, has music by GV Prakash and has been shot painstakingly by cameraman Ramji. The epic has been made by Selva on the lines of a Lord of the Rings or a Mackennas Gold

Shruti Haasan breaks into Bollywood

We all saw her in that ice cream ad and now, Kamal Haasan's daughter has hit the big league. The singer/actress will soon be seen alongside Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Imran Khan and Neha Oberoi in Luck - an action thriller that releases on July 24!

The supposed steamy scenes between Hrithik and his co-star Barbara Mori would be the same in both versions.
"We can't cheat Hindi audiences. The so-called steamy scenes will be the same in both versions. The visuals will remain unchanged in both. There won't be anything radically different in the two versions because Hrithik and Barbara speak English-Hindi and Spanish, respectively in both English and Hindi," Basu said.

Also there would be voice-overs in Hindi and English, both done by Hrithik, whose love story the film chronicles in a style that would recall David Lean's Brief Encounter and K. Balachander's Ek Duuje Ke Liye.
About being designated the director of the decade at International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Macau, Rakesh Roshan said: "I'm flattered. There were other truly deserving directors in the reckoning. I must've done something right."
