Ek tha tiger and Dabangg 2 ..
looks neat for 2012 .. and i hope that KICK gets shelved .. its jst not the right movie to do ... and i think he better stick with originals and do remakes once in a while ... But Hell YEAHHHHHH .. 2010 nobody close to ATBB ... 2011 again nobody got 2 BBs ...... This decade is being owned in a big wayyy by SALMAN all the way ..

The 25 Crore Day: Which Film?
Thursday 9th February 2012 10.30 IST Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network The 25 crore nett day is the next benchmark and there were many emails with readers of the website asking which film will do and giving names of the 7-8 films releasing this year that may do it. At the end of the day its not about the film but when it releases and which day a major holiday falls. Many films have the potential but the release date is not there. At the moment we have not reached a level when a film can collect 20 crore nett on a normal working day. There are probably just two candidates this year which can hit the 25 crore target in one day and that is Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2. Ek Tha Tiger has a good chance it may be an Independence day (Wednesday) release which normally would be a certainty for a record day with the sort of hype that Ek Tha Tiger will carry but problem being Ramadan will be on meaning less business in muslim centres. With a Wednesday release it will have to break on Wednesday as Sunday is a Eid holiday but by that time many will have watched and reports play a huge part. If the film is a Friday release then Sunday which is Eid would give it a huge chance of breaking the 25 crore barrier. If Ek Tha Tiger does not manage to hit 25 crore then next candidate will be Dabangg 2 to hit the mark on its Sunday. Christmas Day is on Tuesday so its not really a factor as far as a record breaking day goes. The YRF/SRK untitled film is a Diwali release which is a huge holiday but its a romantic film and these type of films pull in the numbers over the week rather than bombastic openings so a 25 crore day will be tough. |
