Suriya’s trip to Italy

A major portion of Matraan has been shot, reports sources in Kollywood. The film’s next schedule is due to begin in Italy and team will travel down to that country sometime in January.
Some breathtaking stunt sequences choreographed by Peter Hein are expected to be filmed there. Suriya and Kajal Agarwal, the lead pair, along with director KV Anand and others will fly down to Italy and complete this schedule.
Later, the climax will be filmed but the location for this has not been revealed yet.

'Maatraan' - Nearing completion

The shooting of Suriya's next 'Maatraan', directed by KV Anand, has almost neared completion. "But for few scenes, the entire film has been shot. Both Anand and Suriya are happy with the output," circles close to the unit say.
An action thriller within commercial format, 'Maatraan' is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram's AGS Entertainment. Kajal Aggarwal plays Suriya's love interest, while music is by Anand's lucky mascot, Harris Jayaraj.
"Anand, who plans everything well in advance, has finished Maatraan as expected. He will soon sit on post production works which he has planned to complete by the end of February or by the beginning of March," they further say.
'Maatraan' is expected to hit the screens in April as a bigger summer treat to Kollywood movie buffs. Meanwhile, Ajith's 'Billa 2' too is getting ready for a release around same time. So a bonanza awaits audience, so to say.

Suriya in 5 get-ups

Suriya plays five different characters in his forthcoming film Maatraan directed by K V Anand, which has Kajal Agarwal as his love interest.
Says Anand, 'The real Suriya is a reticent, simple and ordinary guy. It is only when he gets into the character in a film that he comes alive. Suriya lives the role to a T. I enjoy directing him.'
Recently, Harris Jeyaraj's peppy number in Matraan featuring Bollywood girl Isha Sharvani shaking her legs with Suriya and Kajal Agarwal was shot.
The song was picturised in Chennai. A grand set worth more than a crore of rupees was erected as a backdrop for this number in Chennai.
Isha flew down from Mumbai to shoot for this song, and director K V Anand was quite impressed with her. The song Theenda Theenda Thirinthiya was penned by Pa Vijay.

Bollywood girl Isha Sharvani in 'Maatraan'

Bollywood girl Isha Sharvani who is known for her dance performances has been roped in by K.V. Anand for a special number in his upcoming flick Maatraan.

The song Theenda Theenda Theerndhiya is Harris’ composition featuring Suriya, Isha Sharvani and Kajal Agarwal and was shot over 10 days at a huge set erected specially by art director Rajeeven. This set was made with a budget of Rs 1.5 crores.

Sharvani gave her best and enthralled hundreds of unit men who were present there, said an inside source.

Apparently, Isha will also share screen space with none other than Kamal Haasan in his magnum opus Viswaroopam.

KV Anand - Suriya Sivakumar's forthcoming 'Maatraan' is much expected due to reasons many. Nearly 70% of the shooting has been wrapped and as earlier reported some high voltage action scenes were canned in Chennai at a huge set erected in OMR.

The team will be shortly leaving to Hyderabad to Ramoji Film City where a week's schedule has been planned.

'Maatraan' sees Suriya in several looks and the actor also got three tattoos in his hand for the film. It has Kajal Aggarwal opposite him with Isha Sharvani in an item number and Sachin Khedekar playing the bad guy. The film has been shot in several locales including Russia, Croatia and Macedonia.

AGS Entertainment will release the film big in mid 2012. The film is touted to be Suriya's biggest release so far in his career.
