The audio of Mani Ratnam's much-awaited Tamil-Hindi bilingual ‘Raavan’ will be launched in April. Mani Ratnam has also kept the title ‘Raavan’ for all the versions, sources added. ‘Raavan’ is said to be the modern adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana, which revolves around Raavana, the ruler of Lanka, the kidnapper of Sita. The story ends with Sita supporting Raavana instead of Rama, who had suspected her chastity after having spent a long time in Raavana’s custody. Tamil actor Vikram plays the villain, and while Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are the lead pair in Hindi, Vikram will play the lead opposite Aishwarya in Tamil. The music of the film is given by A.R. Rahman.

Sri Maha Ganapathi Films, which is doing a high-budget movie with hero Srikanth titled Sevakudu, is making preparations for a romantic entertainment with Varun Sandesh in the direction of Kadir.
The banner’s proprietor and producer M. Sudhakar, addressing a press meet at Prasad Labs, said: “Kadir, who earlier made blockbusters like Hrudayam, Prema Desam and Premikula Roju is going this film on our banner as the fifth venture. Varun Sandesh, who carved a special place in the hearts youthful audiences, is doing a wonderful role. Oscar winning AR Rehman is scoring the music.” “The film would be launched on August 15 to coincide with the Independence Day. The regular shoot will commence from August 24. The shoot would continue from September to December. We are planning to release the flick as Shankranti gift.” Producer Sudhakar himself will handle the camera. The details of the other cast and crew would be announced soon.
