Rahman To Compose Official Theme Song For CWG
Here¡¯s good news for all Rahmaniacs. A.R. Rahman is all set to compose official theme song for common wealth games¡¯2010.There are not just sports to look forward in this year¡¯s common wealth games but there¡¯s a lot more stored in for the people. Composer-musician Ranjit Barot will be the music director of the games while Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman will be composing the official anthem for the games. Barot says that since the games are being held in India so the underlying theme would be Indian capturing the essence of ancient and contemporary India. There will be number of cultural segments involved in the games. Rahman has no doubt showed to the world the immense talent stored in him. Now this time he will be composing for cwg. It will be a work of great responsibility. It would be challenging though but he is blessed with unique talent. From his first movie till now, people have enjoyed every bit of his music. His work speaks for him. There¡¯s certain element in his composition that makes it different. The official anthem would feature Indian culture and essence.
