![]() ![]() Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen Movie Review Ratings :3.5/5 Reviewer: Taran Adarsh Site: Bollywood Hungama If you are one of those who cares less about logic and rationale, but looks at movies that not only entertain, but also act as stress busters, HOUSEFULL 2 should slake your craving in those two hours. On the whole, HOUSEFULL 2 is a madcapentertainer that gets the viewer giggling, yelling, whistling and applauding in his seat and you completely savor the fact that the spectators parked around you too are utterly engaged in the chaos and seeking maximum pleasure from the on-screen happenings. If you are a moviegoer who derives pleasure from loud comedies with over-the-top humor that defy logic at every opportunity, I am sure, you will relish this wacky slapstick. If your idea of watching a comedy is to have a good time at the movies, then HOUSEFULL 2 is especially designed Ratings :2/5 Reviewer: Kanika Sikka Site: DNA The movie is definitely not a laugh-riot, but it doesn’t fail to bring out chuckles in bits. In various parts, the director has tried very hard to force a laugh, but fails to bring out even a smile. The first half is fun, yet disappointing for a movie that promises to be a hilarious hoopla. The second half starts with entertaining portions, but the excitement takes a back seat as it proceeds. The climax is stretched, yet acceptably amusing in parts. Infused in generous portions are action sequences which are more entertaining than the comedy. The storyline is weak and predictable but does justice to add to the confusion the director aimed to create. The dialogues are witty, but fall flat on most occasions when combined with the weak script. Ratings :3/5 Reviewer: Mrigank Dhaniwala Site: Koimoi What’s Good: The entertaining screenplay; a majority of the comedy dialogues; Akshay Kumar’s performance. What’s Bad: A few gags that don’t work; a few boring portions in the pre-interval portion.Verdict: Housefull 2 entertains. It will do good business at the box-office.Loo break: A couple during the songs.Watch or Not?: Certainly watch it as it is a madcap, albeit mindless, comedy. Ratings :3/5 Reviewer: Zee News Bureau Site: ZeeNews This Sajid Khan film is certainly not for people who feel cinema needs to be driven by quality content and logic. Then, we are sorry to keep away from this film. But if you are someone who likes to chortle even for no reason or someone who believes in keeping the brains off while entering a cinema hall, then ‘Housefull 2’ is the right thing for you. Though the film has certain glitches, one can easily overlook them, for the film certainly promisesa great deal of laughter that will leave you pleading for a break. Ratings :2/5 Reviewer: SuperGoodMovies Site: SuperGoodMovies As expected, Sajid Khan churns out yet another mindless entertainer titled 'Housefull 2' where a bunch ofactors, few talented, few average; are trying hard to make you laughSajid Khan once again tries to create humour out of confusion but fails to make this film as entertaining as its prequel. The prequel was sorted and people knew what's happening; but in this film, with more than a dirty dozen inthe cast, creates abundance of confusion. Yes. The film does have a few sequences and dialogues that are worth lauding. But overall, the film can be said entertaining but in parts Ratings :2/5 Reviewer: Sneha Francis Site: Emirates 24 X 7 “Housefull2” lived up to my expectations – of being a despicablefilm that boasts of garish performances, a mediocre, yet confusing script, and some seriously inane lines, peppered with humdrum Bollywood disco songs and twists. It’s a classic example of how too many actors can spoil a movie. The story is hackneyed, and fails to tickle us anymore. The movieis also guilty of lifting funny scenes from Hollywood flick. The tennis scene between John and Randhir is a straight copy from the 1999 Sharon Stone-starrer “The Muse”.So,if nothing else, I’m quite sure this movie won’t play “House Full” in thecinemas.

Will Akshay's OUATIM 2 take on Salman's 'Ek Tha Tiger' in Eid
![]() When the makers of Ek Tha Tiger decided to release the Salman Khan starrer on Eid 2012, one wonders whether they really considered the fact that it was very early this year when the date was first blocked by Ekta Kapoor for Akshay Kumar's OnceUpon A Time In Mumbaai 2 . Now with the two biggies all set to clash with each other, the question is whether it would indeed be healthy enough for the industry which wouldbe better off to have two of the mostawaited films of next year to be better spaced. "It is unbelievable", says an industry expert, "Looking at the kind of flip-flop which is happening around biggies like Ek Tha Tiger, Dhuaan, Housefull 2, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, Ek Tha Tiger and Dhoom 3 , it is akin to solving a jigsaw puzzle. Thankfully all of this is happening months in advance else it would have been sheer mayhem. Notless than Rs. 1000 crores are riding on these films and I hope there is a good understanding developed between the makers here." In fact it was due to this very understanding that Sajid Nadiadwala had first taken a step in the right direction and pre-poned thearrival of his Housefull 2 so that there is no unnecessary clash with EkTha Tiger in June. The expert continues, "Akshay Kumar too didn't blink an eyelid when it came to decision of his friend and producer here." However, now that Salman too has decided to leave the slot which was originally meant for Akshay and made space for Aamir instead (so that his Dhuaan releases in June), the clash seems to be inevitable on Eid due to Ek Tha Tiger now challenging Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 in the weekend leading to Eid (which falls on Sunday, 19th August). "The good part here is that Salman, Akshay as well as Aamir have been in the industry for over two decades and well understand the business dynamics", says a senior filmmaker,"They will never allow ego to come in the way of their films. Yes, they are trying to help each other out so that it's a win-win situation for all. I am sure just like Aamir has now got the slot that he wanted and would be enjoying a solo release on 1st June, even Salman and Akshay will work out something for 17th August, the day when they are planning to bring their films." Though makers of none of the films were willing to make any further confirmation on record, a reliable source from the production houses hinted that all doors are not closed to avert this clash. He said, " Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 would begin shooting in February. As of now it will release on Eid but then there may be a date adjustment or postponement."
