Ividam Swargamanu - My Views

Time : 4:30 PM
Attendance : 50% in balcony (don't know abt first class, & most of them were families)

Back after watching Lalettan's latest offering with Roshan Andrews-James Albert combo... Expectations were really high from this dream combination and they have matched those expectations by delivering a brave feel good movie laced with quality humour...

Kadha onnum paranju veendum maduppikkunnilla... Innathe scenario il valare relevant aayittulla oru theme nannayittu edukkan makers nu sadhichittund... James Albert nte thirakkadha pathivu pole ketturappullathu thanne aarunnu, with so many interesting moments esp in the 2nd half... 1st half il parayunna pala cheriya karyangalkku polum 2nd half il oru connection koduthittund, now this is one thing I really like about his scripts ! Direction wise Roshan pathivu pole niraashappeduthiyilla, but 1st half alppom koode fast aakkamayirunnu ennu thonni, still good work from him as the detailing of the film, superb 2nd half were really impressive...

Technically, camera work alppom inconsistent aayi thonni, chila shots il kalakkanayittund, chilathu average... Editing in the 1st half could have been better... BGM wise, again oru inconsistency feel cheythu, first of all, ithupoloru padathinu Gopi Sundar nu pakaram Ouseppachan e pole aarenkilum aarunnenkil kidukkiyene... Artwork okke kidu... Pattukal padathil kuthi nirakkanjathu valare nannayi !

Performances, Lalettan as "Mathews" had just another cakewalk role, but some of his mesmerizing expressions reminded of old vintage Lalettan !

Supporting cast il Jagathy, Thilakan ennivar kollam... Nayikamarkku perform cheyyan valya space illa, ollathil acting wise mechamennu parayan Priyanka mathram... Lakshmi Rai de looks theere pora... But the real surprise packet was Lalu Alex with delivering one of his career best role as the comical villian "Aluva Chandy"

Esp climax le Lalu Alex nte expressions okke spaar !

All in all, a nice feel good movie laced with humour and a relevant message ! One of the best of 2009 !

Verdict - Must Watch for its relevant and brave theme...
Rating - 8.5/10
