Lootera is an eye-candy, a feast to the eye,
in lap of the nature and as an extra added spice with pinky rose flavor to it
is our Sonakshi, nicely fitted blouses, a very well decorated Indian naar with kum-kum, bindi, choodi-chaanlaa, Indian attire and covered with thin colorful linen layers of sari pallu, those elevated hills, da mountains on da women's chest and the color of the sari and blouse changes, to gaze, glitter, glare and that elegant and grace, and so is the nature scenes, woven together and embroidered with silence and slowness of the movie,..

u know wht I mean,. Right ? Well,.. pictures worth a thousand words,..
Long ago there had Rekha's movie : agar tum naa hote,... jeevan dhaara and maang bharo sajna,.... and people had been watching those, for the nos. of various sarees that Rekha wore,.... and this one adds one more to it,...

Wearing his blatant irreverence towards film stars on his sleeve, Kamaal Rashid Khan (KRK) boasts 1.32 lakh followers on Twitter, making his nuisance value count. The film fraternity, however, is not amused by his shenanigans. Demanding strict action against the actor-producer, they have approached the apex body, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

The catch though is that the FWICE will initiate action against KRK, provided the film fraternity submits a written complaint against him. When contacted, FWICE General Secretary Dinesh Chaturvedi said, "We have been told by many from the film industry that they want a complete ban on KRK. This man has been behaving in an irresponsible manner. He should learn to respect people and observe some restraint. But we can act against him, or issue him a show cause notice, only on a written complaint.

When TOI meets KRK at his Four Bungalows residence, he says he has revolutionised Twitter. For his own sake, you want him to laugh it all off, and say he has only been playing along. But that doesn't happen. Instead, he explains, "My tweets are unique. I taught others how to make an impact. If AmitabhBachchan follows me, it's for a reason. I don't write what's popular. They say Lootera is mind-blowing, brilliant. I say Lootera is rubbish. I am nobody's servant. Nobody pays me to speak good. I tweet what I feel. I won't ever say anything to pander to someone. I am a very busy man. When I spend my few precious minutes every day on Twitter, I better get to express my view."

Such an ironclad rationale hasn't stopped him from 'promoting films' on 'friendly' requests from actors or directors, who he claims, inadvertently come knocking on his door. "Almost everybody in the industry has contacted me to help their film earn some publicity through my tweets. I do it out of kindness. I send out kisses to heroines, call them sexy or hot. I get a lot of retweets for that," he says.

      Lootera:

      Lootera:

Finally I watched this movie, as I was expecting it on a Bluray DVD, in order to not to compromise with the print quality in any case, especially when Sona was shown in a butiful glamour, joban-ful blouse, colorful Sares, designed Paalav (pallu) and with halaki-phulaki si 'love-fallen rekha' on her face, while she's making the paintings in an open grass-woods... !

Wait was worth. Liked the movie.

      It's an art-house. Period.

      It's a Poetry. Truly !

Certain movies remain for the classes and not for masses. Coz' they are not made for any haali-mawaalis, street side Tom, Dick and Harry, ... manny, moe and jack,... or say,... road-sided Lallus/Loffars, Lukkhaas Halel-Tappus / Gutter-Panjus...and Lappu-Chhannars !...... Lo and have it. 'Lootera' is on yr plate, now.

Intel inside, Idiots outside ! ( Movie ko samaz shako, tau samaz Lo ! )

A master piece of art...... btw,...Had any one seen Gulzar's "Namkeen"?
...carrying Sharmila, Shabbo and Kiran vairaale,... a Grand Poetry (?),...
      youtube.com/watch?v=ebeaY8pE0AY ( copy and paste )

Oh ! Boy,... thy name is Gulzaar,... the movie was above the level for any Taporis ! Same here - Lootera.

First impression of this title ( Lootera ) gives you an image n' impression of some 'gangster' kinda Sanju baba's gunda-girdi movies - Badle ki aag / Main intekaam lunga - kindaa movies, and here,... the movie is polar opposite.
The title is deceiving and imo,...the director should had rather given it a little 'longer musical title' to this,... to make it more successful ( too late ! ) say,...

      Zheel ke uus paar,...

      Peepal paan kharantaa,...

      UnFallen in Fall !

Patta Patta - Boota Boota Haal Hamaara Jaane Re,..

      Saawan ( Pat-Zhud ? ) ko aane dau,...

      Aa jaa maahi ve,...

      Neel Gagan Ke Tale,...

      Main Tasweer Banaata Hun,...

      Tuj sang preet lagaayi sajana,...

      Mera piya ghar aaya,...

Dulha woh hi jo Dulhan maan bhaaye,..

      Sajana saath Nibhaana,...

      Aaan Milo Sajnaa,...

Or,.. say, if double meant for Sonakshi,
      Sona Kitna So(h)na Hai !
      [ Sona = Temple's Idol Gold, Sona = Sonakshi ]

........sort of musical n' meaningful love-romantic titles, would had made the movie run longer n' more successful,... ( IMHO )

Say,... you are living in the mid sixties,.... and no computers, cell, internet, high rises and many many amenities, are not there in the existence,... and a director makes a slow passion, a real slow pace movie like " Mili, Jurmana ",......etc,... and that's what makes this movie Lootera. It's a 60's movie in 2013.

We had seen old movies where the hero gets criminal and then gets 'pannaah' into the house of her pre-lover, such as Rajesh Khanna's iittefaq,.. or Amitabh's Faraar,..... and this movie adds one more to it.

      youtube.com/watch?v=z2wtZTD5QNE&t=35m36s
( Time counter is set )

There's not much in the story or any abrupt twisting or turning points, story is quite predictable,...and it's a very slow pace movie for art lovers, if you are tired of,...
Action pack movies like bodyguard, dabbang and shingham,..
Family life of movie of Kjos,.....like K3G and KKHH
Faaltu - Fijool double meant vulgar comedy movies,..like Masti and Grand-Masti,...

      Then,...Here is a change.
Lootera - Deel ka khilauna haaye toot gaya,.. koyi Lootera aa ke loot gaya ! ( Oh my,.. ! Can ya imagine the 'mental strata' of Sonakshi ! )

Sonakshi was never my favorite star, but here she gave me an impression of 70's Rakhi's films like Jurmana, Barsaat ki ek Raat, or Blackmail.

Movie is ultra good,... n' depending on the audience whether you like such a slow pace love-story movie, where camera, set, and each minor details of Zameendaaris is given the extreme importance and it's an ultimate art house by the Director.

Someone in the production house is also a hard-core lover of Dev-saab's oldies songs too,..............

At least, I enjoyed the movie, to a great deal.

3.65/5 - this is called "class" of the movie-making,...

      Lootera

To be honest,... I would not call it a movie, even !!

Since it was an art-house ! A Poetry been written with the kalam of some Shaayar / Poet !!

While I was watching this movie and on an extremely blu-ray good quality, and when I was at half way of the movie,..... and my only feeling was,.. " Perhaps, this movie may never gets ended" ! - I literally had to pause the movie for half an hour, while Ranbeer-Sona's soft romance and meeting scenes were going on - and my feeling was like,...as if you eat any barfi's sweet tukara(piece), see how you eat it slowly and tiny-miney bite by bite as if, that piece should never last so fast !

I have been watching tons of movie every month and for years,..
but this kind of feeling so far had come only for a veeeeery few hand-ful of movies,...that I remember,...

I still remember , last time I was watching, Gulzaar's poetry aka movie " Namkeen "
      And
      Sanjeev-Sharmila's old movie ( Gulzaar's ) " Mausam" - Romance of sanjeev-Sharmila about Chhadi ( stick )

      Movie Rajnigandha's Amol-Vidya Sinha's soft Romance,..

Chittchor's soft romance between amol and Zareena,...

This Lootera movie was a gem,... And have seen a very few poetries like these.

      I am speechless. -- A 70's movie in 2010's !
