Date: 11-Sep-2010 Theatre: Bangalore PVR Status: Housefull Celebrity Presence: Lakshmi Gopalswami Angane moonu divasathe kathirruppinnu shesham Shikkar kandu... Enikku thoniyya major points idhokeyannu... 1. Slow build up retaining an element of mystery and exploding in the final 30 minutes, adhannu ee padathinde vijaya rahasyam. Padam kazhinju irangunna prekshakarkku manasil nilkunadhu final 30 minutes annu, adhannu ee padathinnu positive WOM undakki kodukunadhu 2. An intense performance from Lalettan, from the first scene onwards till the end he retains the intensity. The action scenes and the climax were top class, without doubt no other actor will be able to pull those things off without a dupe or graphics. Hats of to Lalettan. 3. Good performances from some of the main supporting actors, - Samudrakani is superb as the cool Dr.Abdulla - Ananya is good as Ganga and her scenes with Mohanlal had a spark. She is a talented actress for sure and this is her big break. - Lakshmi Gopalswami gets a char to remember. 4. Locations and Camera work Never before scene locations and great camerawork from Manoj Pillai gave this movie a huge lift... even during the slow parts of the first half the visual beauty of the shots kept the viewer engrossed. Also kudos to the director for doing his home work and selecting these wonderful locations 5. Music I found the telugu poems and background songs very haunting. All songs were good, their placement in the narrative left a lot to be desired but the music & picturisation smoothened this problem. Salute to M Jayachandran. 6. Script & Direction Randum perfect onnum alla, pakshe manasil thattunna oru kadha ee padathil undu... realistic aayitulla korachu kadhapathrangal undu... Scriptile main positive ennu paranjal its the build up... from a slow start to a frantic end... adhu pole thane direction'illum adhe Padmakumar has got most things right... got good preformances from most actors, maintained a good tempo, identified great locations the suit the movie, angane over all thettu parayan sadikulla 7. Suspense Well kept and revealed beautifully. Overall a good movie, the resounding response this film is receiving is because of the strong story and the stunning climax. Also just like with Balettan there is an outflow of love towards Lalettan. Malayaligal Lalettane snehikunnu, avarkku shakthanaya oru Lalettan venam adhannu ee chithrathe ithrekkum valiya vijayathilekku nayikunadhu. Verdict: Sure shot superhit. Audience reactions: Claps & Wistles for Annan's intro and climax scenes Largely a Family audience, they enjoyed even the comedy of Suraj & Jagathi Korachu Hindi'kar ok keriyirunnu padam kaanan... dont know if they came along with their Mallu friends or came by themselves... since they were sitting right behind me I could hear their chit chat, they were well aware of Mohanlal and all..
