Agree about entrance coaching center part. Here too college union students scenes very amateurish aayanu eduthathu. Poor casting there as well. Drishyam small roles vare pros aayirunnu. So kallukadi undayilla. Casting of Varun Prabhakar was spot on. Also small roles like Kootikkal Jayachandran, KSRTC bus conductor, theater projector operator, restaurant owner etc.

She acted well, unless you were expecting a dramatic lawyer with sharp diction and that face they give while speaking. On the contrary, Joy Mathew was dramatic like every other 'movie lawyer' in malayalam cinema.

The court scenes are staged poorly. I think Jeethu wanted certain court time on screen established, so that he can deliver that killer revelation about the DNA.
The dubbing was out of sync which essentially shows the inexperience of that actor. She may be a real life advocate that doesnt mean she can "play" an advocate on screen.

Much of the movie focuses on the mental trauma that Rani and the kids (especially elder daughter) go through. Though to the outside world Georgekutty seems a rich and prosperous man, Rani is a deeply disturbed individual due to the events in Drishyam 1. She wants to get her elder daughter married, is worried about Georgekutty's lifestyle, wants to save up for an uncertain future, and is also scared about the possibility of the body/crime being discovered/police finding out. We see in the 'Ore Pakal' video song how lost she is due to various other events that take place during the first half of the film. Naturally materialism/having a fun time due to changed circumstances would be the last thing on her mind.

As Punalooran and others have mentioned on the main thread, the 'unbelievable' climax and chain of events explaining the climax may only be a theory. Could be argued that given the chain of events that occurred in Drishyam 1 and the recreation of a day in the exact manner unfolded in an unbelievable manner, the events in this particular film don't seem so unbelievable in retrospect given the maverick, cinema-obsessed nature of Georgekutty.
