About the Movie
If we have to describe this movie in one word, I would say it as ‘Engaging’. Blessy’s new outing ‘Bhramamram’ depicts the story of a Jeep Driver who is haunted by his past.Blessy did not not follow conventional way of story telling, but adopted an unusual way of presenting the story. Although the plot is very simple he gave the whole movie a complex texture.
I am not getting into the story level details, as it will be a spoiler to many. Although film had some flaws, it is still engaging enough. Lalettan was simply rocking in the film. He saved some of the scenes with his gracing presence. Lalettan excelled with his subtle acting style. Some of the eccentric mannerisms and all..Wow. Blessy has utilized lalettan’s talent well and fed him with lot of situations which were cake walk for lal. :kidilam:
The locations were too good and the cinematography was equally good.Supporting actors like Suresh Menon and Bharat gopi’s son (dnt remember his name- Script writer and villain of Rasikan) done ok. Bhoomika and that girl who played lalettan’s daughter were simply waste. :deviltalk:
The Flashback sequence was the core of the film and it wasn’t convincing enough. Blessy finished off the flash back very quickly. The reasons for the breakup and the incidents after that could have been presented in a more convincing manner.
Bhramaram can’t be compared with Thanmathra, coz the genre of these 2 films are entirely different. Although the script has some loose ends, the movie is still worth a watch.
Positives
Lalettan’s performance in the movie is nothing short of extra ordinary.
The way of story telling adopted was superb.
Cinematography and locations
Songs were too good and it gels well with the script. (especially Annarakkanna vaa….)
BGM was also in sync with the film.
Negatives
Flashback sequence
Performance of Bhoomika and the child artist
On the whole Bhramaram is an engaging movie from the beginning to the last minute of it. Hats off to you Blessy for making a very thin story line to an engrossing watch. And one and only Lalettan, you have done us proud again. Take a bow. :puka:
WOM
Encouraging
Trade Prediction
Anything between a hit and Super hit. :puka: :puka:
