Bullet Raja has already created a great buzz in the industry with a great package of Saif Ali Khan , Sonakshi Sinha, Critically acclaimed director and chartbuster songs. Being a movie lover I didn’t want to miss this flick and headed towards the theatre.

Tigmanshu’s Bullet Raja tells the story of a commoner, ‘Raja Mishra’, who enters into the political badlands of Uttar Pradesh along with his friend ‘Rudra’. The movie is all about Raja Mishra aka. Bullet Raja, his rise to the power, love, revenge, corruption and the political misdeeds he comes across.

Tigmanshu, this time is back with a solid script, which tops high on both content and commercial elements.

The main positive part of the film is its ensemble cast, of which, Saif Ali Khan being the most important.
Saif Ali Khan’s Characterization as a fierce looking Bullet Raja was really excellent. I have never seen him in this kinda role.

He has given his own mannerisms to the character, making “Bullet Raja” a unique personality. His energetic & intense dialogue delivery and powerful performance makes Bullet Raja, much more enterprising.

Next is Jimmy Shergil, who portrayed ‘’Rudra’’, the side hero. He was perfectly fit for the role. A great bonding between him and Saif was seen on screen. They really made a great duo. Good Casting.

Tigmanshu Dulhia, who made different genre flicks like Paan Singh Tomaar and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, this time, offers a ‘quality’ commercial film. He has given Bullet Raja a fresh and realistic feel, offering a lot to the masses. His raw n’ rustic direction makes the film, much more enjoyable. Unlike usual action films, BR has got something different in its presentation with dark frames, realistic action and for instance, a solid script.

The script never loses its track at any point of time. There weren’t any unwanted or forced sequences. Nothing is misplaced. Every character was intense with unique identity. BR doesn’t limit itself as a gangster film or a revenge drama. It continues its journey all over the film, exploring new sub plots, without any lag. At every instant of time, a new character is introduced with newer sub plots. The script was handled without leaving any loopholes, to an extent.
The only thing which distracts the well paced script is the unavoidable love track. Sonakshi has got nothing to do, except to appear in a few songs and hang behind the hero. The character of our ‘’Rani’’, wasn’t satisfactory.
Vidyut Jamwal’s special appearance in the second half added an extra flavor…..a flavor of thrill. The rest of the cast including, Ravi Kishan, Raj Babbar etc were perfect in their roles, making BR a performance oriented movie.

Dialogues were of top class. They were intense and were shooting straight. There are few one liners, which makes us laugh. Perfect for this kinda movies. Kudos to the writer.

The climax sequence added a spice of thrill. A skillfully directed one. Tigmanshu managed to make a usual climax, a really enjoyable one.

BR excels in its technical side too. Highly impulsive and realistic action sequences remain as one of the major highlights of the film. Both Vidyut Jamwal and Saif Ali Khan rocked in their action images…..Jimmy too. Stunts in the streets were cinematographed very well and presented in a much refreshing way on screen. There weren’t any kind of violence in it, remained in its limits. Camera work was also good. Certain shots still remain in ma eyes.

Sajid- Wajid, offered average tunes to BR, only a couple of them were worth hearing. RDB’s ‘’Tamanche Pe Disco’’ rocked in all aspects. One of the best party songs of the recent times. BGM was engaging in certain scenes.

On the whole, Bullet Raja is an entertaining and enterprising film studded with all commercial elements and a well written script, packed with brilliant performances.

Lock and Load for the Raw and Rustic Bullet Raja….. Saif hits back with a fully loaded Gun.

My Rating: 4/5

Thanks sooraj.

Being a admirer of both saif and tigmanshu, expected a more realistic one. Ee gunshot heronu mathram kollathathu angeekarikkan pattila.

Anyway good solid oneliners made my day. But as u said, the love track disappointed, maybe sonakshi was a mismatch for saif.
