Saw the movie from Trivandrum New; my first expirience of a superstar movie in TVM....
Ee Pattanathil Bhootham as it promised is a movie that can/might make your children smile and thats where it ends.
The theatre was full of loud noises praising the Megastar Mammootty before the movie began.
The movie started well, with gud graphics and that is where it entertains you, if at all any.
As the movie proceeds, the graphics itself becomes a major setback.
The people behind the graphics are better of creating models rather than animation and graphics.(The way bhootham appears to the children in the shape of an idol is an example. That model was too good).
The fans were utterly silent towards the first half of the movie, and towards the end, people were shotuing for the movie to get over.
One don't expect a logic and story in this sort of a movie.
Still the movie seems to be lifeless to me.
Mammootty as bhootham is the only positive that can be spotted.
His voice modulation and humble expressions were pretty good and cute.
It's hard to pin point a negative as the movie itself seems to be lifeless.
The idea behind the movie was good - a movie for children. But has it worked out..? Well... I would say, an opportunity lost.
Johny Antony has defenitely worked hard. But that alone with Mammootty's performance may not be enough for this movie.
Verdict : Take your children for the movie, so that you can enjoy the way they enjoys the movie, rather than how the movie would turn out to you.
Strictly for children.
