Bhramaram (2009) by Blessy

Theater: Shawnee mission, Kansas.
<O:p
Synopsis:
On the anxious day of the Coimbathur bomb blast, one odd looking man visits a business man Unniís house, claiming to be his childhood friend Jose. His outlandish behavior makes ripples in the rather typical happy family of Unni. After some encounters Unni understands that he is Sivenkutty, who had been sent to jail in his 8th standard for the crime Unni and his other friend themselves did. Then Sivankutty tells him that his wife and kid still think he did the murder. He requests Unni to come and tell his daughter that her father is not a murderer. Then the journey begins. All his strange acts and unorthodox travel leads to an end where we feel that love, affection and goodness have conquered the eccentric bee humming sound of revenge.
<O:p
Credits:

Bhramaram is the best till date of Blessy in terms of script, direction, and characterization. Kazhcha may be better in story for its simplicity and universal goodness. How ever Bhramaram have his best script so far, the best direction so far and the characterization of Sivenkutty is a wonder. The BGM is wonderful and the humming sound of bee is a revelation. Ajayan Vincentís camera work is an amazing piece of art and technology. If you went to watch a wonderful movie, it is ever engaging and thrilling till the end credit show. But if you are there for a usual family movie, it may be dragging.
<O:p
Mohanlal: He amazes me again, may be 100th time? 200th time? Donít know. I cannot describe this acting or review it. Just experience it. I can still see his performance as Sivenkutty. It is a wonder. He is simply the best ever. After Pakal nakshathrangalís breezy performance, he did a more challenging role and did it like an evening thunderstorm.
<O:p
Co-stars: Suresdh menon, muraleekrishnan and lakshi gopalswami did good performances. KPAC Lalitha was as natural as Sivankuttiís own mother. Bhoomika was ok. Sivankuttiís daughter was the only real negative point in this blessy movie. Her Dubbing (especially in the sad scenes) was really bad.
<O:p
Verdict: Blessies best. Mohanlalís one among, say, 10 best ever performances.

Thanks for reading....

@ KK

I felt Bhramaram is blessy's best in terms of tightness of script and awesome direction. However bhramaram is an unusual family story, unlike his first two, kaazhcha and thanmathra. kaazhcha and thanmathra has usual and warm family relationship is portrayed. But in Bhramaram, the love for the family goes upto a stage of eccentricity. AThu janam ethra ulkkollum ennariyilla...
