Drishyam is a movie that earned huge critical acclaim and was not seen as a mere entertainer. The climax shot of the movie was the pinnacle of Georgekutty's brilliance and infact considered one of the greatest heroic moments the actor has played onscreen.

Now the main issue I have with this announcement is the threat of breaking that brilliance. This is something hardcore fans of Drishyam like me won't appreciate in the first place. Now as a movie fan, acco to me, they cannot tell a sequel without revealing the body. This is where the challenge begins since JJ himself has to "save" Georgekutty once again. Because I will be surprised if GK is arrested by police in the climax or somewhere in the middle. So in short, things are pretty complicated and pretty challenging.

But Mohanlal's "thrilling" quote, JJ's awareness regarding the challenge are the positive factors of the movie.
