This song is a pleasant listen. Liked how Deepak Dev used MGS's vocals throughout and he was equal to if not superior to Vineeth Sreenivasan's rendition! Well picturised and visualised too.
What I found intriguing about this song is how relevant it is in exploring the generational gap between the youth and the previous generation.
-John Kattadi and Annamma are truly in love with each other (it helps that Mohanlal and Meena share such wonderful chemistry). They are present throughout their interactions be it having food together, both virtually through iPad and also breakfast in person. Even when out of the house, John misses his wife and wants to communicate and romance with her always.
-Anna (Kalyani) is a lonely person. She desires love and companionship and feels lost. She loves Eesho but Eesho is a 'vayanokki' above all else. Her idea of romance is well explained by the Tom Hanks film that she watches on TV (I think Sleepless In Seattle or You've Got Mail). Her communication is through phone and WhatsApp
-Eesho (Prithviraj). He is someone who lives in the moment. He does things spontaneously. When Anna gets off his bike, he observes her with a smile. Then Kavya Shetty's character enters the office and Eesho checks her out and falls for her. The scene where Eesho is just about to devour a burger and Anna's text comes in (how many times has this happened to us!) was so relatable. He without thinking takes a selfie of him and the burger.
Contrast how the generations eat their meals. We look at our phones and eat at the same time. The older generation enjoys every bite of their food without any external distraction. Through this song, the scriptwriters Sreejith N and Bibin Maliekal present an everyday, relatable situation and this is well picturised on screen by Prithviraj without being too over-dramatic.
Now I really don't know how the movie will turn out, it could be a dud for all we know, but still, I liked the makers' approach towards conceptualising this particular song
