Actually no matter how intriguing Mumbai Police was in its investgation & bonding scenes, if the climax was a failure, the film wouldn't have worked. Mumbai Police trailer irangumbol (eventhough its new for Malayalam Cinema), SM was in its intermediate phase. Palarum Shutter Island vechu ee padam compare cheyythu. Aa shocker of climax aanu ee padathinte main USP IMO.


UK poolathe ultra commercial writer ee theme eduthu prayogichapol, Monster kitty. Ithu UK filmgoers ishtapedilla, serious filmgoers ishtapedilla.

Just to do a small comparison.

Mumbai Police scored with its investigation scenes & bonding scenes while Monster was veruppikal with Lucky Singh antics in the first half. Also there was not much of an investigation other than interrogation scenes.

Mumbai Police is a mainstream movie with a classy tag all over while Monster was an ultra commercial masala possessing no class at all.

Mumbai Police had some superb performances especially from the lead actor while in Monster Mohanlal's character as Lucky Singh was the main drawback. None cared abt his "Agent" version.


But people normally dont expect a classy film from UK and Vyshak combo.

If Aarattu didnt have the Agent portion & Monster didn't have lesbian & Lucky Singh version (trimmed), both films would have done better at box office especially Aarattu!! Personally, an UK movie is like expecting worst amongst bad...I have been doing this over a decade!!! So its very hard for me to be disappointed by a UK movie. As a matter of fact, I dont watch any UK movie since Kochirajaavu which doesn't have Mohanlal or Joshiy!!!....oh yeah...I saw that Pokkiriraja since there were no movies around for more than 1 month due to the theater strike!!! Havent seen Maayamohini, Karyasthan, Sringaravelan, Maryadharanam at all!!!
