NNM is theatrically failure, but not an embarrassment or disaster.

Solo actor ennoru fact illa, as far as audience or money involved is concerned . In fact I have heard many fans claiming that the more screen space MohanLal gets in a film the better B.O prospects. So no actor will ever get as much screen space MohanLal got in Alone. But now that the theory has collapsed and it is offered as the main reason for failure.

NNMnte below par performancenu karanamayittu IFFK eduthukondu vannathu njanalla....kure fans aanu. Avarodu chodikku enthinanu a defence konduvannathennu! IFFKil kanicha padangalkku BO collection kittilla enna theory irakkiyathu avaranu. You are ready to beleive that a movie's lack of collection is affected by its genre (festival movie). But, you are not willing to accept that movie featuring only one actor for its whole running length is unlikely to be box office material. I can only call that hypocrisy!
