Dileep : Born on October 27, 1968 in Desom, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala. His original name was Gopala Krishnan. He studied in VVBHS high school (passed 10th Standard in 1985) and joined Aluva U.C.College (Pre-degree 1985- 1987) and then moved on to Ernakulam MaharajasCollege. His talent for acting was not known in school and college where he rarely won any accolades or merits. Gopalakrishnan was an average student. During 1985-1987 he first perform as a mimicry artist in U.C. college. On joining Maharajas college for B.A. Economics in 1989 Gopalakrishnan started to take mimicry seriously. At that time Mimicry was only getting its roots in Kerala and it had a bright future. When Dileep finished his studies with M.A. History, he decided to choose art as his profession.

Through his words :" I didn't even dream of such a success. God is working so many miracles", says Dileep. However, watching movies has always been Dileep's favorite hobby. He never selects the movies to watch and is interested in all types and languages of films. As different movies have different moods all movies are good according to him. Comedy and action movies are his favorites. However, whether he watches the movie on television or in the theatre he never takes the trouble to study more of movie making. He has never participated in any film festival. He enjoys watching television too and says it is fun to keep surfing channels.

മലയാള സിനിമ താരസമ്പന്നമാണ്. സൂപ്പര്*താരങ്ങളുടെ ഭരണം ആദ്യകാലം മുതല്* തുടര്*ന്നു പോരുന്നു. പ്രേം*നസീറും ജയനും മുതല്* മമ്മൂട്ടിയും മോഹന്*ലാലും വരെ മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ അടയാള നക്ഷത്രങ്ങള്*. മെഗാ-സൂപ്പര്*താരങ്ങളും കുട്ടിത്താരങ്ങളും ലിറ്റില്* സൂപ്പര്*സ്റ്റാറുകളുമൊക്കെ ധാരാളം. സൂപ്പര്*താരമാകാനുള്ള ശ്രമം നടത്തുകയും എങ്ങുമെത്താതെ പോകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇടക്കാലതാരങ്ങളും അനവധി.

എന്നാല്* ഈ കള്ളികളിലൊന്നും പെടാത്ത ഒരു നടനുണ്ട് മലയാളത്തിന് - ദിലീപ്. നമ്മുടെയെല്ലാം അയല്**പക്കത്തെ പയ്യന്*. സിനിമയില്* വന്ന അന്നുമുതല്* ഇന്നുവരെ ആ നടനോട് സ്നേഹം മാത്രമേ നമുക്കുള്ളൂ. ആബാലവൃദ്ധം ജനങ്ങള്*ക്കും ദിലീപിനെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്. ദിലീപിന്*റെ സിനിമകള്* കാണുകയാണ് തന്*റെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട വിനോദമെന്ന് 98കാരനായ കേരളാ സൈഗാള്* പാപ്പുക്കുട്ടി ഭാഗവതര്* പോലും പറയുന്നു.

ജൂനിയര്* യേശുദാസ്. വെള്ള പാന്*റ്സും വെള്ള ഷര്*ട്ടും ധരിച്ച് ചുക്കുവെള്ളം കുടിച്ച് നല്ല സ്റ്റൈലില്* ഗാനമേളയ്ക്കെത്തുന്ന ജൂനിയര്* യേശുദാസ് പിന്നീട് മുഴക്കോലുമായി ഒരു ആശാരിയുടെ വേഷത്തില്* എത്തുമ്പോള്* ആരാണ് ചിരിച്ചുപോകാത്തത്? വീട്ടുജോലിക്കാരി രാധയും പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിച്ചുപോയി. ആ ചിരിയില്* നിന്ന് മഞ്ജുവാര്യര്* എന്ന വലിയ നടിയുണ്ടായി. ജൂനിയര്* യേശുദാസ് ശശികുമാര്* നമ്മുടെ സ്നേഹം കവര്*ന്നപ്പോള്* ദിലീപ് എന്ന നടനും മലയാളത്തിന്*റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്* ഇടം നേടി. ലോഹിതദാസിന്*റെ തിരക്കഥയില്* സുന്ദര്*ദാസ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത സല്ലാപത്തെ മലയാളികള്* എന്നും സ്നേഹിക്കും. അതിലെ രാധയും ശശികുമാറും എന്നും മനസുകളില്* ജീവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

9. സി ഐ ഡി മൂസ

നാടോടിക്കാറ്റിലെ സി ഐ ഡികള്* സമ്മാനിച്ച ചിരി ഒരു ഗൃഹാതുരതയായി പ്രേക്ഷകരുടെ മനസിലുള്ളപ്പോഴാണ് പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിയുടെ മാലപ്പടക്കവുമായി ‘സി ഐ ഡി മൂസ’ വരുന്നത്. ഒരു കാര്*ട്ടൂണ്* ചിത്രം പോലെ രസകരമായ സിനിമയായിരുന്നു അത്. തലച്ചോ*റ് വീട്ടില്* വച്ചിട്ട് തിയേറ്ററില്* വന്ന് അന്തം വിട്ട് ചിരിക്കാനായിരുന്നു സംവിധായകന്* ജോണി ആന്*റണി കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രേക്ഷകരോട് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തത്. അത് അങ്ങനെയൊരു സിനിമയായിരുന്നു. ദിലീപ് മൂലങ്കുഴിയില്* സഹദേവന്* എന്ന മൂസയായി മിന്നിത്തിളങ്ങി. ദിലീപ് ആദ്യമായി നിര്*മ്മിച്ച ചിത്രമായിരുന്നു ഇത്.


8. ചക്കരമുത്ത്

അതേ, ചക്കരമുത്ത് എന്ന സിനിമയില്* ഏത് ഭൂതക്കണ്ണാടി വച്ചുനോക്കിയാലും നിങ്ങള്*ക്ക് ദിലീപ് എന്ന നടനെ കണ്ടെത്താനാവില്ല. അരവിന്ദന്* എന്ന പൊട്ടന്* മാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ. ആനച്ചെവിയും മുന്നോട്ടാഞ്ഞുള്ള നടപ്പും പെണ്ണത്തം കലര്*ന്ന സംസാരരീതിയുമെല്ലാം ചേര്*ന്ന അരവിന്ദന്*. ദിലീപിന്*റെ കരിയറിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്ന്. ലോഹിതദാസ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചക്കരമുത്ത് ഒരു മികച്ച സിനിമയല്ല. പക്ഷേ, അതിലെ അരവിന്ദന്* എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാനാവില്ലെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. മഹാനടനായ മമ്മൂട്ടി പറഞ്ഞത് തനിക്കേറ്റവും ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള ദിലീപ് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളില്* മുമ്പന്* ഈ അരവിന്ദനാണെന്നാണ്. ഇതിലും വലിയ സര്*ട്ടിഫിക്കേറ്റ് വേറെന്തുവേണം?



7. ഈ പുഴയും കടന്ന്

ദിലീപും മഞ്ജുവാര്യയും മത്സരിച്ചഭിനയിച്ച സിനിമയായിരുന്നു ഈ പുഴയും കടന്ന്. ഗോപി എന്ന വാച്ച് റിപ്പയറുടെ പ്രണയവും അയാള്*ക്ക് അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്ന വിധിയുടെ ചതിക്കുഴികളുമാണ് ആ സിനിമയുടെ പ്രമേയം. ‘ചില്ലറപ്പൈസ’ അഞ്ജലിയായി മഞ്ജു തകര്*ത്താടിയ ഈ സിനിമ ഒരു മികച്ച പ്രണയ ചിത്രമാണ്. നല്ല ഗാനങ്ങളും ചിത്രത്തിന് ഗുണമായി. ദിലീപിന്*റെ ‘അയല്**പക്കത്തെ പയ്യന്*’ ഇമേജ് അരക്കിട്ടുറപ്പിച്ച സിനിമയായിരുന്നു ഈ പുഴയും കടന്ന്.


6. പഞ്ചാബി ഹൌസ്

ചിരിയുടെ ഉത്സവമായിരുന്നു പഞ്ചാബി ഹൌസ്. ചിത്രത്തിന്*റെ ആദ്യപകുതിയുടെ കൂടുതല്* സമയവും, ഡയലോഗുകളില്ലാത്ത ദിലീപിനെയാണ് കാണാനാകുന്നത്. എന്നാല്* ദിലീപിന്*റെ ഊമപ്രകടനം തിയേറ്ററുകളെ ഇളക്കിമറിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ചിരിയുടെ മൊത്തക്കച്ചവടക്കാരനായി നമ്മള്* ദിലീപിന്*റെ അവരോധിക്കുന്നതും ഈ സിനിമയിലൂടെയാണ്. കൊച്ചിന്* ഹനീഫയും ഹരിശ്രീ അശോകനും ദിലീപിനൊപ്പം ആടിത്തകര്*ത്തു. റാഫി മെക്കാര്*ട്ടിന്* സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത പഞ്ചാബി ഹൌസിന് ഉടന്* തന്നെ ഒരു രണ്ടാം ഭാഗം പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം



5. മേരിക്കുണ്ടൊരു കുഞ്ഞാട്

ദിലീപിന്*റെ മികച്ച സിനിമകള്* തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ഈ സമയത്തും മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ ബോക്സോഫീസില്* നമ്പര്* വണ്* പ്രകടനവുമായി പ്രദര്*ശനം തുടരുകയാണ് മേരിക്കുണ്ടൊരു കുഞ്ഞാട്. ദിലീപിന് മാത്രമേ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു വേഷം ചെയ്യാന്* പറ്റൂ എന്ന് ആരും സമ്മതിച്ചുപോകുന്ന കഥാപാത്രം. കുഞ്ഞാട് സോളമന്* ഒരു പാവം മനുഷ്യനാണ്. കൊച്ചുകുട്ടികള്*ക്കു മുമ്പില്* പോലും പേടിച്ചു വിറയ്ക്കുന്നവന്*. ഈ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ ഇത്ര തന്**മയത്വത്തോടെ ഏതു സൂപ്പര്*താരത്തിന് അവതരിപ്പിക്കാനാവും? കുഞ്ഞാടിന്*റെ ചെറിയ തമാശകള്* പോലും പ്രേക്ഷകര്* നെഞ്ചേറ്റുന്നത് ദിലീപിന്*റെ മാസ്മരിക സാന്നിധ്യത്തിന്*റെ പ്രത്യേകതയല്ലാതെ മറ്റെന്താണ്?



4. കുഞ്ഞിക്കൂനന്*

അതൊരു അത്ഭുതമായിരുന്നു. മലയാളം അത് കണ്ട് അമ്പരന്നു. ദിലീപ് ഒരു കൂനനായി അഭിനയിക്കുന്നു. കുഞ്ഞിക്കൂനന്* എന്ന സിനിമ തമിഴിലേക്ക് റീമേക്ക് ചെയ്തിട്ടും, സൂര്യ എന്ന മികച്ച നടന്* അത് പുനരവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും ദിലീപ് ചെയ്തതിന്*റെ ചാരുത കൈവന്നില്ല. കുഞ്ഞിക്കൂനന്*റെ മേക്കപ്പ് അഴിച്ചപ്പോള്* താന്* പൊട്ടിക്കരഞ്ഞുപോയെന്ന് ദിലീപ് എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആ കുഞ്ഞന്* നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണുകളിലും നീരണിയിക്കുന്നു, ഇപ്പോഴും.


3. ചാന്തുപൊട്ട്

“കലാകാരിക്കു വേണ്ടത് കലാവാസനയാ, മീന്* വാസനയല്ല” - കടപ്പുറത്തെ രാധ ഇത് പറയുമ്പോള്* തിയേറ്ററുകള്* പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിയില്* കുലുങ്ങി. ഓമനപ്പുഴ കടപ്പുറത്തിന്*റെ ഓമനയായി രാധ എന്ന ആണ്*കുട്ടി സ്ക്രീനില്* നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോല്* ദിലീപ് വീണ്ടും മലയാളികളെ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തി. ചാന്തുപൊട്ട് ദിലീപിന്*റെ കരിയറിലെ നാഴികക്കല്ലാണ്. ആ സിനിമയുടെ ഹാംഗ്* ഓവര്* ചിത്രീകരണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഏറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും തന്നെ വിട്ടു പോയില്ലെന്നാണ് ദിലീപ് പറയുന്നത്. രാധയെ അത്ര ഉള്*ക്കൊണ്ട് അഭിനയിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടാണല്ലോ ആ സിനിമയെ മലയാളികള്* ഇത്രയേറെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നത്.

മാധവന്* മീശ പിരിച്ചാല്* ഉറപ്പാ, ഇന്ന് രാത്രി അവന്* വന്നിരിക്കും! മീശമാധവന്* ചേക്കിന് മാത്രമല്ല, കേരളത്തിന് മുഴുവന്* പ്രിയങ്കരനായി. ബോക്സോഫീസില്* അവന്* കാശുമാധവനായി. ദിലീപിന്*റെയും ലാല്* ജോസിന്*റെയും സിനിമാജീവിതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഹിറ്റ്. ദിലീപ് - കാവ്യാ മാധവന്* ജോഡിയെ പ്രേക്ഷകര്* അംഗീകരിച്ച് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ച ചിത്രം. ‘എന്*റെ എല്ലാമെല്ലാമല്ലേ...’ എന്ന് മൂളിക്കൊണ്ട് അവന്* രുഗ്*മിണിയുടെ മാത്രമല്ല, പ്രേക്ഷകഹൃദയവും കവര്*ന്നെടുത്തു.

Dileep is ‘Valayar Paramashivam’ IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, September 09, 2009]

We are sure about your familiarity with this name of ‘Valayar Parashivam’. Yes, the same name you have heard in the Dileep-Kavya Madhavan super hit ‘Runway’. The actor is now back to play this title character in the new movie, to be directed by Joshy. Planned as a hilarious action thriller in the scripts by Sibi K Thomas - Udhay Krishna, the movie will be a sequel to ‘Runway’. ‘Valayar Paramashivam’ is expected to start its shoot by the first months of January 2010.
Meanwhile Dileep has completed shooting for ‘Swantham Lekhakan’ which will be the next release of the star. Directed by cinematographer P Sukumar, the movie is also the comeback project of actress Gopika.

Cochin, Sep.9 (NR): The Joshey-Dileep hit film 'Runway' is to have a sequel now. Titled 'Valayar Paramasivam, the film is expected to be on the top of Dileep's forthcoming projects.

The fim would have a script by the hit maker duo Sibi K Thomas and Udaya Krishna and would be an action thriller with loads of comedy.

Dileep is all set to make a comeback of sorts, with 'Valayar Paramasivam'. His last film, the Fazil directed 'Moss and Cat' was a Titanic at the box-office.
