Actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram will be next seen playing the protagonist in 'Thoongavanam' director Rajesh M. Selva's Kadaram Kondan. Meanwhile, Vikram has signed up for his next project that will be helmed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, tentatively titled as Vikram 58.
The film is bankrolled by Viacom Studios, in association with Seven Screen studio. The first look of the film featured a sketch of Vikram in different avatars. Now, the makers have announced an exciting update regarding the film's crew. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman is set to compose music for the film.
The actor-composer duo will be uniting after a gap of four years, after the Shankar-directed romantic thriller I, which released in 2015. Vikram 58 marks the third directorial of Ajay Gnanamuthu after Demonte Colony and Imaikka Nodigal. The information regarding the rest of the cast and crew is yet to be announced.
On the work front, Vikram has signed up to play the central role in R.S. Vimal's Mahavir Karna. The actor is also part of the grand ensemble of Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan.

Actor Chiyaan Vikram was previously seen playing an action-packed role in director Rajesh M. Selva's action-packed thriller Kadaram Kondan, which marked the Kollywood debut of Abi Hassan and Akshara Haasan.
After the resounding success of Imaikka Nodigal, director Ajay Gnanamuthu will be helming Chiyaan Vikram in the forthcoming Vikram 58. The film is produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studio.
The actor will be sharing screen space with Srinidhi Shetty while veteran Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan is set to play a crucial role in the film. Vikram 58 features music composed by AR Rahman while Sivakumar Vijayan handles the cinematography department.Irfan Pathan even recently shared his look from the film
And now, we have some spicy updates from this upcoming film. From our sources, it has been revealed that the first schedule (15 days) shooting has been completed yesterday. The second schedule of the film is set to star on November 11th in Allepey Kerala. Further, it is said that AR Rahman has completed a song, which will be shot in this upcoming schedule.
