Just back after watching Vishal Bharadwaj's "Kaminey".. No two ways about it, a BRILLIANT GANGSTER THRILLER !!! The plot may not be fresh or creative as it is indeed a homage to the yesteryear Gangster movies.. Eventhough it has inspirations from Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie film-making style in parts, Vishal's presentation was too intriguing and something novel to Indian cinema !!

PLOT

Plot revolves around two twins (both played by Shahid) Charlie (who lisps - means can't pronounce "s", instead pronounces as "f", eg. for cell he pronounce fell) and Guddu (who stammers) who can't stand each other, an AnnanThampi setup.. Charlie is a guy with big dreams to become a bookie by shortkut methods, while Guddu is straight forward guy who loves Sweety (Priyanka) the sister of a a big rogue politician "Sunil Bhope" (Amol Gupte). A guitar (10 crores worth cocaine inside) comes into Charlie's hand by luck.. Enter "Tashi" a big goon who should actually receive that guitar.. In parallel Bhope also starts his hunt for Guddu to get his sister back... Now starts the cat n mouse for the guitar with usual misunderstandings about the twins !

+ Vishal's direction with unpredictable moments and dark humour will definetely keep you interested till the very last frame...
+ Script n dialogues were top class.. Some daring & funny one-liners will definitely tickle your ribs !
+ Shahid Kapoor... After Jab We Met, again he proves more strongly that he is a good actor who gets under-utilized most of the time ! He just rocks big time as Charlie who lisps !
+ Priyanka with a pretty good performance with great dialogue delivery, and looks too seductive also !
+ Amol Gupte, the scriptwriter of "Taare Zameen Par" just fits the bill perfectly as a menacing villain as "Sunil Bhope" ! A great actor to lookout in the future !
+ Music by the director himself was outstanding with 'Dhan Te Nan' being the pick ! Same with the adrenaline pumping BG score...
+ Superb cinematography & editing makes it a technically superior effort too..

- A bit over-violent which may keep the family audiences away, it was over-ambitious to get awarded with an U/A certification for this...


So do grab your tickets to catch the excitement of this ADRENALINE PUMPING action ride in big screen itself !

Trade Verdict : If it was not for the swine flu season, a sure-shot superhit/blockbuster.. But now needs to wait for the outcome !! WOM is definitely encouraging that it should end up at least as a hit under any circumstances for me...

My Verdict : MU"F"T WATCH !!! DON'T MI"FF" IT. Undoubtedly the best of 2009 till date...
